Caricaturist Profile: Evan

NYSKetches artist Evan has been busy at college events this spring.  Evan’s cartoons have appeared in the New Yorker, the Villager, Reader’s Digest, and his a cartoons appear regularly in the monthly humor newspaper, Funny Times.  Here are some  photos of his recent caricatures:

Hip Hop Bat Mitzvah

NYSketches recently airbrushed a bunch of hoodies for a teen’s Bat Mitzvah in Mt. Kisko.  For this event, we created a custom stencil of hip hop dancers to match the bat mitzvah girl’s theme.  We painted custom names on the front and the stencil on the back of each shirt.  Here are some pics:

Brooklyn Bat Mitzvah

NYSketches recently hooked up a Brooklyn girl’s Bat Mitzvah, held a Rebar in Dumbo.  We created a coordinating sign in board with custom cookie favors, and thank you notes with the Rachel (the Bat Mitzvah girl’s) caricature.  An airbrush artist painted trucker hats, and a balloon artist created balloon art at the party.  Check out pics:

Mardi Gras Time!

It is Mardi Gras Time &  NYSketches brought the party to Quinnipiac College for a student activities event.  Entertainment for the night included airbrush tattoos, amazing balloon art, a festive stiltwalker, and talented juggler.  Here are some pics of the event:

This weekend, NYSketches provided a henna artist at a 13 yr old girl’s spa party on the Upper West Side in NYC.  Girl’s got their manicures, makeup done, and a henna design painted on them.  Here are some pics:

Airbrush Hoodies at 13th Birthday

This weekend, NYSketches provided an airbrush artist and assistant to paint on hoodies at a 13th birthday event at the Atlantic Beach Club in Atlantic Beach, NY.  The kids were great, and loved the hoodies.  Here are some pics:

Caricatures for Akademiks at Teen Vogue Rock Meets the Runway Event

On Sunday NYSketches provided 4 caricature artists to draw sketches at the Teen Vogue Rocks Meets the Runway Event at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square.  The event showcased a battle of the girl led bands with judges including Little Steven and an Akademiks fashion runway show.  Bonuses included free makeovers by Max Factor, and free caricatures, with pre-drawn rock star bodies wearing Akademiks clothing.  Here are some photos of the event:
